No matter how much we plan and prepare for, we’re never in complete control of the things that happen in our lives.
And that’s why we sometimes have to make incredibly difficult decisions.
When 36-year-old Christina Fisher from Florida got pregnant, the timing was far from perfect.
She didn’t have a job and was about to get evicted from the trailer park where she lived. And she knew it wouldn’t be easy to give her child a fair chance of succeeding in the world.
So with a heavy heart, Christina decided to put her baby up for adoption.
But when little Abigail was born, everything changed. The family that promised to adopt the newborn girl suddenly changed their mind. As soon as they saw Abigail’s face, they turned around and rushed out of the hospital.

Christina said that all her ultrasounds showed that her baby was developing normally, which is why it came as a shock when Abigail Lynn was born in January 2016.
Christina and the doctors instantly noticed that the newborn girl looked different from the other children in the maternity ward.

Abigail was diagnosed with Treacher Collins syndrome, a rare genetic disease that causes the face to be asymmetrical and can also cause respiratory and eye problems.
Despite the diagnosis, Christina didn’t feel anything but love for her little girl — she thought Abigail was incredibly beautiful.
And who would disagree?

Unfortunately, Abigail’s adoptive family did, writes The Telegraph.
The family arrived at the hospital to support Christina while she was was in labor. But after the 36-year-old gave birth, it was a different story.
When the adoptive mom-to-be saw Abigail’s face, all her kind words and friendly smiles disappeared.
“She came out crying… and left the hospital. We never heard from them again,” Christina said.

Christina took the unexpected turn of events as a sign. She scrapped her adoption plans and decided to raise Abigail on her own.
And she contacted a photographer to take some beautiful pictures of her and her daughter.
Christina thought the photos were so nice that she posted some online, along with Abigail’s incredible story.

She also set up a GoFundMe campaign, and almost 600 people joined forces to donate about $22,000 — money that is helping Christina give her daughter a good start to life.
We humans can be amazing when we get together and refuse to give up on a child just because they have a disease or look different.
It seems like fate decided that Christina needed to keep her child because the decision she made to give her daughter up for adoption is something that no mom or dad wants to make.
We think Abigail is super cute and we wish her all the best in the future!
We’d also like to thank all the strangers who helped this little family get off to a good start.
Please share Abigail’s story with your friends on Facebook if you also think she’s a miracle!
